I was born and raised (and currently live) in greater Los Angeles. I got a degree in Studio Art at UC Santa Cruz, with a focus in conceptual art, performance art, found object art, and soft sculpture. After that, I spent a year and a half as a theme park face painter in Hollywood, then started working at LA CANVAS magazine. That’s where I run a D.I.Y. column. I also moonlight as a freelance face and body painter.
I started this blog after years of false starts and procrastination. I consider it an exercise in and opportunity to explore and refine all my interests and hobbies.
